Bramble: The Mountain King

So far it's the very pretty and creepy fairy tale I was hoping for when I pre-ordered blindly. Interesting gameplay mechanics, feels like Little Nightmares inspired puzzle-ish platforming and chase sequences. Audio is great, blending environmental sound fx with ambience and singing. Creature design is beautiful, with some making me think of Pans Labyrinth for some reason. Overall vibe is very gloomy so far. No bugs thus far, and I started playing the moment it was released. This is one of those rare indie gems that I'm always looking for. I found the experience to be soothing at times. I grew up in the redwood forest, and this game captures the warmth and magic of nature perfectly... Then without warning, it thrusts you into some of the most nightmarish content I've seen in any game. The horror is unsettling, visually arresting, and pitch black. Nothing is safe. Basically perfect from beggining to end.

They dont make games like this anymore. I felt every emotion possible and this easily is top 3 for most impressive games ever played. Beat the whole game and could not stop capturing videos from your beautiful and dark world. You guys are amazing storytellers and id love to see some more outlandish wild stuff from you guys. May it be fairy tail, alien, monsters ect. You know what you're doing

i rarely comment on a game, but this one was special. graphics and atmosphere are simply perfect and deeply immersive. let not the feeble of heart tread here, bc this story will shock and captivate you. this is one i wish they could make a movie of, bc it would be awesome. i could watch this story a thousand times. puzzles were fun but not annoyingly difficult. the characters were second to none. it was just an absolute treat that i hope a sequal will come out for. i read all the great reviews and still was kinda hesitant, but MAN am i ever glad i played it. superb all around.

I never leave reviews for games, but this little gem deserves one, and I hope as many people play this to enjoy the great experience that I just had. The game play and the story really surprised me. I figured that this would be like any other indie game, but after they are done with the initial hand holding, that's where the game takes off and the real adventure begins. The lore in this game adds to the overall experience and gives context to the wild boss battles you will go through. For anyone who is reading these reviews, do yourself a favor and buy the game. You'll be pleasantly surprised by what it offers you.
