Chains of Freedom

There is turn limit to some fights on normal and hard difficulties. Only hard difficulty states there will be turn limits. Also the overwatch ability is only available to one playable character, but enemies can set up multiple overwatch zones covering a large amount of the battlefield. Most fights are wave based, sometimes with said turn limits. There is stealth but its only for positioning for a preemptive strike. You can not thin the herd of first wave to prepare for the next wave. Everything else is great outside of combat. Story cutscenes are short and the world feels apocaliptic. Levels are linear with branching paths for loot. I know i sound negative, but i just dont like when games are held back from being great because of missing genre standards.

Sneaky release that I only heard about from a turn base YouTube channel. Nice price and great mechanics. Best comp would be mutant zero. Rating based on my own scale considering price+similar genre releases for what its worth.

Absolute steal 4 this game plays better than expensive turn based games. Old school game play feels simple, but goes deep with solid story and game play. Excute good strategy use backgrounds environment like exploding barrels 2 set-up the enemy 2 take them out like a savage. Crafting, perks, passive skills and dice roll nice well balanced for you and AI 4 chances for a hit or miss with action used. New Classic!!! !! !

I bought this game on a whim because the previews look pretty cool and I sunk a week into it this is a very fun game especially if you like gears of war tactics for XCOM is more on the side of mutant year zero but if you give it a chance the bio crystals add a twist to the game that makes it addictive very fine patiently waiting for a sequel
