In the mayhem-filled streets of the future where criminal gangs rule and cops fear to tread, only the bounty hunters can free the city from the corrupt fist of felony. Lay waste to the criminal underworld and make a killing in this hard boiled action comedy arcade shooter.
This is a MUST HAVE for old school gamers who grew up in the 8/16 bit era. Very nostalgic. Coffee Stain did a great job putting this game together. The music is something out of an 80's action flick like Terminator. Sound is superb, controls are simple, and the graphics are top notch for its pixelated art style. I also bought this on mobile.

Good fun, but too shallow to feel rewarding.
I enjoy this. The synthwave, the neon, the duster-clad hired guns exercising functional justice upon degenerate evildoers at high-caliber. It's homey. What I don't like is ther ever escalating difficulty of the subsequent gangs. I just wanna drop a .44 Hydroshock round into some raider centermass, man, not hafta deal with plasma-robot afro samurai wannabes. This could have been improved with a metaprogression menu, spending your well earned bounty cash on increased damage, a larger HP pool, etc, but the game isn't that deep. And while you can have a ball treating the symptom, you never get a crack at curing the disease: the corpo-trash holding your leash.
Arcade Mode is a little better - the little dopamine hit from picking up score items helps enrich the experience - but gangs are graded by difficulty and you have even less health.
In all, Huntdown it cyberpunk-flavored junk food - damn tasty at first, but no nutrition, and the texture gets kinda gnarly towards the end.

Addictive gameplay that will motivate you to find all the secrets and complete levels without dying. Blade Runner and The Warriors vibes as well
