Lost Ruins

For an indie is a very satisfying metroidvania with decent difficulty; not really a souls game as long as you're using your brain with the equipment. Also it contains a lot of replayability value such as various modes to play as witch or assassin, or play a mode as some of the bosses with new events and ending. It's a game with gorgeous pixel art & music with a good balance between quality and quantity, totally worth the time to check it out.

Got this because it reminded me of momodora / minoria. I thought it was great, although more difficult than momodora. A lot more item and weapon switching. Find and change out items frequently that will help you in your current situation

I absolutely love every second of gameplay this game has! I played through it on the hardest difficulty my first go (not single life mode) and even though i was challenged at every step this game does a fantastic job of giving you options and opportunities to learn and get something that works better for you and your play style + with all the mixing and matching you can do with items it creates hours of fun and entertaining challenges that make you WANT to find something that works for you and makes you foes quiver in fear as you do something cool or status effecty... Anywho if you like dealing physical and/or magical damage while solving puzzles and getting LOOT all while being challenged and confused at every turn as you uncover the amazing mysteries of a fantastic story then you've come to the right game my friends. (did i mention status effects and using iteams sparingly are also key...? Eh they'll be fine)

The story was a little sad, but not terrible. I was definitely left wanting more and I'm actually excited to replay it and go through the other game modes.

tl;dr the games great, if you're un sure wait for a sale Main opinions first Pros The feel like a genuine old school game, you swing your weapon then can move again. Multiple endings 3 different bonus modes Great NPCs Good boss fights and optional bosses A variety of items you'll gather Cons (maybe) The side quests aren't outstanding but very welcome. Story is predictable Not a lot of accessible options Personally take your pick, this game is truly underrated, i've beat it 3 times and still plan to beat Witch, Assassin, and easy. I would beat Hardcore but that turns it into a rogue-like. If you're unsure to get it just wait for a sale, i was skeptical as well. I saw Punkalopi play it the day after i considered getting.
