Nowhere Prophet

Not sure why everyone hating, definitely a difficulty curve but for the better imo

I love a good card adventure game, but this one is lackluster. Went through the entire campaign in one attempt in about 3 hours. I do like the chess like decisions. It's kinda pointless, though. Since you can just nuke their leader, and end a match in 2-3 turns. Positioning literally does not matter when protecting your leader. The only thing stopping your base from getting direct damage is if you play a card with 'Taunt' ...kinda silly, really. Most matches don't get past the 3rd or 4th turn because of this. So more expensive cards(5-7 cost) rarely get used. I'd like slightly longer strategic battles, but I just go straight at the leader bc that's how it's designed. The final fight is really the only time you're challenged(on default difficulty), and it's not really too challenging, just drawn out. I can confindently say I won't be coming back, but it was fun for a few hours.

get half way through making that idea, then give up, that's what this game feels like, the idea seems really cool but the mechanics and game balance seem all out of wack as fights will rather go 1 of two ways 1. you insta gib your foe before they get a chance to stop you 2. they gib you before you can get a chance to attack them and outside of fights the game in general give you no real way to plan out your actions as the only 'road blocks' you see on your path are towns and this games 'elite' fights, and each other location you have to visit on the way to the boss could be anything

Has perma death for units, making you want to play safe. Great card playing strategy game with lots of depth. Feels a bit like Oregon trail at times. The Map reminds me of Void Bastards.
