Rising Lords

Was sketchy at first, but devs smushed the bugs. Solid civ game with more interesting battle mechanics. Worth a play.

The game has a wonderfully charming world, supported by nice artistic designs. The strategy is very well executed along it's turn base roots and card combat perk system. The multiplayer has it's faults but it "could" be resolved so it isn't a deal breaker! The game has campaign; skirmish, historical accuracy and once they fix the multiplayer online it'll have that as well.. P.S a good bit of content too.

Constructing castles, growing crops, and raising an army are just a few of the things you can do in one turn of this medieval turn based game. The battles themselves have you strategically placing groups of archers, pikemen, knights, etc, to defeat enemy armies. There's also ability cards to play to give armies an edge. Rising Lords is fun and great when it works but unfortunately, when it comes to completing the campaign and unlocking achievements, there's some major bugs. I can't finish the final chapter of the campaign because an error occurs with the army morale bars during battles, crashing the game. Another campaign bug I encountered was "can't place marker" which also crashes the game. This makes the campaign unbeatable. Achievements are buggy too. Meeting their requirements will unlock different ones. Example, Steady Income unlocks Granary Full instead. Rising Lords is fun and the scenarios work fine but don't expect to complete the campaign or unlock achievements correctly.

Fun game, but takes practice. Add checkpoints or something in story mode please. Its so stupid how you fail and have to start all over or hope you saved recently. Makes me feel like im wasting my time if im not careful and manually keep backup saves.
