Good: - In Depth Stories - Freedom with Attributes & Skills in Character Creation - Shadowrun Lore - Dystopian Setting - High Replayability - Turned Based Strategy - Rich Dialogue Option Bad: - Dice Rolls can be Questionable - Limited Choice Options in the Visual Look of your Character in Creation - UI (i.e. User Interface) for the Consoles are Weakly Designed - Game Freezes Periodically in Battles (Since Prosperity Tower into Bonus Campaign) - Level Transition Glitchs Periodically (Since Prosperity Tower) - 'No Target Available' Glitchs when Clearly in Line of Sight (Rarely) - Snags when Traversing Landscapes Shadowrun: Hong Kong is a good experience if an individual is into a an indepth story, a choice-consequence system & Turned-Based Strategy with great customization. Having been an original kickstarter backer of Shadowrun Returns & owning their subsequent games, it's design is at home on the PC, thus the console port is with some issues. Some of which from the PC stayed.

To bypass the gamebreaking bug in the mission city of death, first battle with the crazed lotus, run past all foes to talk to the vampire WHILE IN combat, after her dialog ends you can shop or enter the next area no problem. If you arent in a battle when dialog is triggered the bug wont let you finish the mission.

Really enjoyed the game, but the last mission keeps bugging out. It either doesn't load properly or it freezes. Wouldn't think I'd have problems on my Series X. Needs to be patched.

Great game but be warned, several game stopping bugs that will never get fixed. Some of these bugs were reported back when the PC game came out 6 years ago and are still very much present in the console ports. Unlikely that the publisher will ever address this. After encountering the soft lock at the final mission in the bonus campaign, after finishing the hardest fight for the 3rd time, I was done.

This whole game has bugs, every mission has something. Most bugs can be fixed by reloading a save, except the second to last mission. When you come back to the Walled City, if you have the vampire Keng Fu her scene breaks the game. Its a 1 star not due to bugs but due to the refusal to fix them. Do yourself a favor and dont get into this game just to be forced to leave it unfinished. UPDATE: There is a workaround for this bug. But now my game is crashing every time i quickly scroll thru Racters skills. GG. Really wish i could just finish this game.
