Unicorn Overlord

Plays just like the old ogre battle, but updated in 2024. Great story, lovely visuals, nice set of characters and strategic ideas. I hope this sells well so we can get more games like this.

This takes me back to Ogre Battle 64 days. Vanillaware better make their money back (and some) on this one! This game is great all around.

This game is so much fun and incredibly addicting. Instead of "let me do just 1 more thing" it's "let me do these 3 things" and then that spirals into hours passing by. The gameplay loop is a blast. It's an interesting take on a tactics game with so many options to make it as easy or as difficult as you want. Vanillaware put in so many solutions to problems with tactics games. You can fast-forward or skip battles entirely if it's feeling too grindy. So many smart decisions. The art in this game is like nothing I've ever seen and this has a great soundtrack with some really standout tracks. Shout out to Vanillaware's FIRST Xbox game. I hope we get more because I love this developer now. 13 Sentinels someday please! If you're on the fence check out the 6-8 hour demo where save data carries over and achievements pop after 5-10 minutes or doing certain related tasks. This game is amazing!

ATLUS will go down in history as one of the greatest Strategy / turn-based games creators to ever be. Homage to Fire Emblem, Ogre, & FF Tactics in one. Took my favorite turn based game Disgaea off its throne

I hope they keep bringing more VanillaWare games to XBOX. I love Unicorn Overlord. 13 Sentinels and Dragons Crown please!!
