ATOM RPG: Post-apocalyptic indie game

Atom RPG is a nice call-back to the days of of Fall Out 1 and 2. As a member of a secret agency, your goal is to find out why a team of hardened soldiers have failed to report back to command after insertion into the now apocalyptic russian country side. Role play and explore a dead city, isolated villages and have up to 4 npc followers to save the wastela- I mean the still glorious Father Land! my only real issues with this game is: The inability to switch characters, npc followers that will shoot right through you instead of moving to a better line of sight, and that while i can use commands to ask a follower to unlock a locker; i can't ask them to unlock the hatch to an access port on the side of an air turbine as part of a skill check in a dialogue sequence. other than a few flaws with followers, Atom RPG is a fun game and I look forward to more games this company makes.

I had a few problems at first but then I started over knowing how everything works. I gotta say if you want to have fun playing this invest in pickpocket it makes it a bit easier to make money and get items. After learning how everything works I think it's well worth the money. The devs put a ton of references/easter eggs in it. I love that kind of stuff. I'm very glad they ported it to console so devs thank you. Update-I've played a lot more of the game now and I just wanted to say this game is freaking great. I love it. You do have to read a lot but I don't mind that, I actually like to read. If I could make my own game it would pretty much be this. The devs did a great job.

Tips for 2024: 1st: take at least 10 in [int] you can lower luck and personality as needed wont be able to pass certain speech checks fo awhile [can respec later] 2nd: pump melee/pickpocket [pickpocket-150 to 200 for caravans or 50 to 100 for shop stalls] 3rd: You can gain a lvl before leaving the tutorial 4th: use the companions for combat and storage you can get them at the very start 5th: in the kraz sewer behind a locked door is a guy who sells a single use respec save before use 6th: Items are lvl locked with certain ones being collected lvl 1-5 mostly rusted handguns lvl 5-10 non rusted weapons 7th: pick a combat stat early on recommend rifles with a high [str] and [dex] build some rifles have decent ap drain like the svd [5] for aimed is crazy in late game 8th: [this is a exploit] Reclaim redfighter dismiss any companions and kill em there, i went in lvl 10 walked out 30 9th: with some rad resist go to the dead city theres a 100kg backpack in stalker HQ north off the dock

Not much to say here, it plays great! And the setting is very interesting and fun to explore. I highly recommend this
