Chasm

Great, old-school, adventure RPG. Impressive graphics with a variety of helpful NPCs, cool foes, and fun (but not overly frustrating) boss battles. Plus, a nice array of weaponry, armor, and nifty tools, tricks, gadgets, and secrets discovered along the way. PIays great. Tight controls. A well designed, SuperNES throwback that's destined to be a classic. A little heart and gaming-love went into the making of CHASM and it's apparent in the product. Easily worth the price of admission!

Great game, playing off what made those classic NES sidescrollers so good. Bravo!

If you like games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Super Metroid, or other retro sidescrolling adventure games this is a MUST have! I haven't enjoyed a game this much in years. I bought Red Dead Redemption 2 around the same time as this, and I find myself playing Chasm more! I highly recommend this game. Very smooth controls, good music score, and plays like a classic. I hope this game gets a sequel. 5/5 Would buy again!

Ok, short and sweet, this game is worth every penny but I can't give it a 5 Pros: Truely fun! Music is great Controls are FLAWLESS For the price, I feel like it gave just enough content Lots of gear to experiment with Cons: No way to manually mark the map where i wanted; felt like a lot of wasted time going back through entire levels Backtracking with new abilities for out of reach spots for gear with low stats was underwhelming Bottom line, if you're even remotely interested in metroidvania games then you should be playing this

Great feel, more right than wrong in this game. The cons are losing progress when you die saves are spread far. Platforming style is ok but areas are often unnecessarily tight. Jumping has abit of an annoying need for long button pressing to achieve the height or distance, but less soupy than hollowknight. Combat is about as good as old school gets in this format. The difficulty levels of easy and norrmal surely have some distinction, but i couldn't find it. There is this ''seed'' thing like minecraft , but the two game worlds showed no difference, so maybe it only becomes apparent further into the dungeons, or only affects some tiny game detail. Or it does nothing. Ledge grabbing , once you get the item, is nice to have. But it is picky like nes ninja gaiden 2, aka awkward, less than ideal. Overall good.
