Deathbound – Ultimate Edition

Only about an hour or so in but its got classic soulslike confusion, doors that dont open from this side, an awesome hat and a parry that works. Haven't had any FR drops or noticeable bugs yet, so far Im glad i rolled the dice on this. Update: Still having fun with it but there is a few small issues, i've had to use undeath twice to return to the "bonfire" because of getting trapped in the environment, torch sconce each time, so watch where you dodge.

Interesting combat. The world is very linear but makes up with the boss fights and enemies. The story is ok and there is NG+ if you enjoy it enough to play it again. For the price it is well worth it if you are a avid soulslike enjoyer.

I got this and bleak faith for 60...they feel dated. But if your ahuge fan of indie souls likes ...like thymesia or steel rising give these a try.

Based on the reviews i wasn't expecting the combat to feel this good. Really cool visual aesthetic too. Love the combination of old world and new through the eyes of conflicting abrahamic style religious cults. They kinda took a more accurate picture of the stark biblical idea of faith, all blood and death and live sacrifice and murdering non-believers and blasphemers, and set it at odds with modern people's assumption of what's in there (assuming they haven't read it cover to cover like a novel), a kind of modern sanitization of faith, all love and sunshine and forgivness and broke hippies, and it's a surprisingly insightful setting, against the back drop of deliberately lost knowldge. Looking forward to delving into the lore. Really impressed so far.

In final area, im walking through walls and walls are blocking me from progressing....i liked it alot, but walls ruined it for me.
