Imp of the Sun

It is a beautiful looking game and the high quality cartoon like animations for characters & things are impressive. The controls are spot on, the few mechanics I've encountered so far are neat & add to the enjoyment. Music and story so far aren't anything special but do well enough. The story may get better but it a least explains a little why you are a character made of fire. From what I understand, since you are made of fire, being away from fire or any light may not be good for you, not sure yet but from what I saw, seems it's gonna play a role in how this plays. I like the mechanic of being able to heal yourself on the spot using that depletes a meter which auto-refills and a few things already have surprised me in a fun way, having me wonder what is waiting on me further in. Things like that llama at the start which spit on for swatting it several times & put me out (I am fire, so it was death). Got an achievement for that, gave me a good laugh, rewarded for being spit on.

So I found some spare change going through my couch cusions the other day. So I purchased this game for $1.99.Awesomgame with cool peruvian vibes. Buy this game. It's cheaper than a pack of gum from a 7-11 👀👏

Enjoyed the art and theme of the game. Controls and combat could have used a little more polishing, but otherwise decent. Would love to see a sequel.

An excellent platformer with great art, music, combat, and level design

What a surprise! Stellar art design and sound composition backed by a tried and true metroidvania setup. I love seeing animation and characters that aren’t often depicted and am excited to keep playing. I would typically wait to review until after completing, but I feel as if this one could use some additional attention. Hopefully a positive review can help with store exposure. Great job, devs. Only complaint is that movement isn’t as “tight” as some other platformers, but I am adapting.
