So, I've been playing this game for some hours, and I must say I like the game so far, I've looked at the 1 star reviews I'm a bit confused about them saying the controls not working. I believe I heard if you play the game on cloud, that could be the cause of the issue with the delayed controls, and why I haven't had that problem, which I can believe because the game definitely seems to have some optimization issues, I have not had any problems with controls in fact I can parry quite constantly, but I have crashed a few times in my time spent on the game. Now lets talk about the elephant in the room GAME DIFFICULTY, when talking this I must give a disclaimer, I love Soulborne games, and have play most of FromSoft games plus other sidescollers games that is inspired by soulsborne like Salt n Sanctuary, and Blasphemous, so I have a lot of experience playing these types of games, and this game does not feel out of place, its challenging as most the games I named off. I say 8/10

Game is cool. If you like Blasphemous, Salt and Sanctury, etc. give it a try. If you don't like hard games, skip it.

This game emulates the style of games like Dead Cells, yet with the rpg-like mechanics of the Souls series, did I mention this game is just about as hard if not harder? Not for the faint of heart.

This game is great 7 plus hours in. I want to explain instead of pointing fingers. Parry in this game works great so far. You don't want to parry when red flashes but when attack hits. Spend 30 min clearing the 1st couple areas and you will understand. Take advantage of the smite system to boost ur char to make it easier by far. Boss battles so far get harder as hp drops but is a steady increase on existing moves to almost a completely diff boss strategy by the end but builds off the starting fight. Story is great so far also. Especially with gamepass it's worth your time to try and make your own opinion. TLSR: Try this GREAT game and make your own opinion.

If you DOWNLOAD the game then the timing for jumps and parry are perfectly timed. This game is hard. The checkpoints are far from one another on purpose. You must choose when to either heal or cast magic, doing one will affect the other. Do not play this if you don't want a challenge. Expect to die a lot while you learn to play LIKE EVERY SOULSBORNE. Dying is LITERALLY the learning curve.
