Ash of Gods Redemption

The story and art are awesome. This game DOES NOT hold your hand whatsoever. While it doesn't have two part battles like Banner Saga, the enemies will make up for that in formidablity. It drops you right into the lives of the characters without any prior explanation, but it isn't difficult to decipher. The amount of travel options make managing strixes a necessity, so choose wisely. I dunno if I'll ever finish this, but for $1.99, it was worth the look.

Bought this game on sale. No idea what the bad reviews are about. I had zero bugs or crashes in my playthrough. The controls take some getting used to (and the tutorial added to my confusion by making me think you have to use the thumbstick to select your character, when you can actually use the D-pad much easier), but the controls work fine. The game is extremely similar to the Banner Saga series in terms of mechanics, art style and production value. I personally enjoyed the story, style, and mythology of this game more than Banner Saga (which is also a great game). I was pretty happy with my first campaign, and judging from the available achievements and message boards it seems there are lots of different possibilities (though its obviously not a Bethasda game). Story: 5/5. Music: 5/5. Graphics: 3/5. Replayability: 4/5. Well worth the asking price of $20.

Great sagalike game. Good mix of simple and complex mechanics in combat. Story feels unique, although unoriganal. Can't solve every problem, making the ones you do feel rewarding. The bad reviews have to be from people who never played banar saga.

it's a cartoon/movie with basic dialog choices & turn-based Combat Mixed in. Combat Controls take about 15 min to get the hang of, Get confused ? Just press in the L stick & the on screen overlay explains everything, there are symbols for all of your controller's buttons.

The only issue was with achievements, Is anyone else having achievement issues? There are several that are broken for me. Other than that it was so good, usually dont play turn based games but the story was just so good. Great visual novel.
