SpellForce: Conquest of Eo

I NEVER post reviews, but I felt required to after reading MopeyHornets nonsense jibberish! This game is everything, & more, that u could hope for in a $30 strategy game...bug free smooth release for starters. Also cuz it offers the same strategic gameplay that its $60-90 competitors offer for a fraction of the price! Are the production values as high? No, but they are good enough & the non-voiced "naration" text is well written. The choice of 3 diffrerent classes/leaders alter the overall approach when it comes to army building & spell casting(4th option is custom build). Mopey says all playthroughs are the same until u reach turn 20...DUH!!! The main story quests/objectives dont change in the 1st 20 turns cuz they function like a prologue for getting ur new domain started & rolling. The starter zones exist to offer increasing challenge & theres a seperate difficulty option. Excellent combat & RPG elements too. U get MORE than what u pay for & to expect $90 of content is just insane!

Perfect fantasy strategy game. The RPG parts are very basic and remind me of the game Thea the Awakening. The menu options allow you to scale the text size. The turn based battles are the best part and require difference strategies for each battle and the terrain location has massive effect on each battle too. I hope they add even more customization and cosmetic options for the units and armies in the future to keep the game from getting repetitive.

Saw another reviewer reference Master of Magic, I bought this immediately after and was not disappointed. This game is an excellently designed throwback to the 4X/TBS masterpieces of old. If you like the genre then don't hesitate. ~80 hours in and I wouldn't change a thing, haven't encountered any notable bugs or issues. Be wary of setting the difficulty too high or you will wipe shortly after the prologue.

I am an old PC wargamer. When I was young, I played the **** out of Microprose's Master of Magic (yes, I'm that old), and I still turn to the PC for most of my wargaming; however, SFCE is at least as good as anything I have on PC, and for only $30 it is a steal. For the love of your gods(!), we need more high quality strategy games on Xbox. Don't pass this game by, you've been warned. 😉

20+ hour learning curve... Must get DLC (not the demon one) to unlock 2 of the 3 professions. This made story mode just easy enough so i could survive and learn the game. Now that i figuered out how to by Enslaved Units from the orc city, i have a Hugh army 😮👌✌️😎🙌
